Supply the collection and delivery addresses, packed dimensions and weight, freight type, site access and requested timing. Drop-X then checks the appropriate planned road service: the Hume corridor for Sydney, Western and Dukes corridors for Adelaide, or Hume and Barton corridors for Canberra. Collection cut-offs, departure timing and the delivery estimate are confirmed for the individual quote. One Drop-X dispatcher remains the booking contact.
For palletised freight, advise whether each site has a usable dock or forklift. Tail-lift and pallet-jack requirements are assessed against the weight, dimensions and safe vehicle access. Oversized and non-stackable freight requires a specific equipment and route review before availability or pricing can be confirmed.
Choosing the right interstate road service
Planned road line-haul can be assessed for documents, cartons, standard pallets and oversized freight across the supported corridors. Suitability depends on size, weight, handling, site access and requested timing. Interstate work is separately quoted; a local or metro rate should not be treated as an interstate price.
Where timing is critical, ask whether an eligible dedicated express road run is available. The corridor, pickup time, exact addresses, freight size and weight, driver hours and vehicle availability all affect feasibility. Timing must be confirmed for the individual quote and no narrow delivery window should be assumed.
