Drop-X Transport was founded on 20 years of hands-on experience in the delivery industry. Our founder started on the road in Sydney — not in an office — learning firsthand what it takes to deliver with consistency, urgency and care. Across those years, one conclusion became impossible to ignore:
The transport industry had drifted away from the people it exists to serve — and it needed to be fixed.
Drop-X Transport is our answer. We are a purpose-driven operation built on fair pay, fixed and transparent pricing, and long-term client partnerships — not a volume-chasing network. We believe a transport business can be commercially disciplined and ethical at the same time: no cut corners, no hidden margins, no layers of middlemen between you and the driver carrying your freight.

Fixed, published pricing
Our rates are published on this website and apply to every client equally. What you see is what you pay — no opaque quoting, no negotiation games, no surprises on the invoice.
After-hours legal document delivery
Court-ready document runs from 5 PM to midnight across Melbourne and Geelong. A dedicated driver, a sealed envelope and signed proof of delivery on every run.
Pre-booked pallet transport
Requested timing is reviewed in advance and dispatch provides an estimate for the booking. Narrow or guaranteed time slots are not offered.
Superannuation paid to subcontractors
We pay superannuation to the subcontractors who carry our freight. It reflects how we do business: the people behind the wheel are engaged properly and looked after.
Owned and operated by drivers
The people making decisions at Drop-X have spent years behind the wheel. Every policy is shaped by first-hand operational experience of what good service actually requires.
Our founder
Drop-X's founder started out delivering in Sydney and spent 17 years there working every level of the industry — owner-driver, sub-contractor, fleet supervisor — watching the same problems repeat: opaque pricing, drivers treated as disposable, and clients left guessing whether their freight had moved. Three years ago he brought that experience to Melbourne — 20 years in the industry all told — and Drop-X Transport is the answer he built from the road up: a courier operation run by people who have done the job themselves, structured around the things that actually matter — transparency, reliability, and treating every party in the chain fairly.

Fair work deserves fair pay
An electrician is paid fairly for their time and expertise. A lawyer bills at a rate that reflects their skill and labour. A driver is no different — the work of safely and reliably moving goods has value, and that value should be reflected in what a driver earns.
That principle sits at the centre of everything we do: a fair, transparent billable rate for our customers, and fair, transparent pay for our drivers. Sustainability and profitability aren't in tension — done right, they support each other for everyone involved.
No sham contracting
Every driver who works with Drop-X does so on fair, transparent terms — never through arrangements designed to sidestep the pay, entitlements and protections they're rightfully owed.
Pay confirmed before pickup
In an industry where drivers often learn what a job pays after it's done, ours see exactly what they'll earn before they accept it. No ambiguity, no adjustments after the fact — and if a rate ever changes, it's changed with the driver, never without them.

Our drivers aren't just the people who carry out the work — they're included when we negotiate contracts with clients. Their input shapes how jobs are priced and structured from the start.
Clear, balanced agreements
Drivers deserve to fully understand the agreements they sign and to know they're fair from day one. Ours are clear and balanced, with no terms that shift financial risk from the business onto the driver.
Transparent pricing, direct to driver
Our pricing is fully transparent to customers, with the option to go direct to driver — and we're just as open about how each job's rate is split. Excluding GST, here's where the money goes:

Drivers receive 90% of the billable rate (excluding GST) on every job they carry for us — 12.5% paid as superannuation and 77.5% as their earnings — while Drop-X keeps just 10%. We keep our margin lean so more of the value goes to the people doing the work.
